Special Event Photographs Taken by SCA Members

On Tuesday, March 18, about 40 vendors and about 250 attendees participated in the 2008 Springfield Civic Association's BizFair held at Crestwood Elementary School in Springfield.

The Springfield Civic Association hosted the event, partnering with the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce. These organizations’ objective was to connect local residents with local businesses.

We would like to thank Crestwood Elementary for allowing us to hold the fair at the school, the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce for working closely with us on the event, the local businesses which enthusiastically responded to the opportunity, and community members who helped get the word out and make this event a reality.

The displays and exhibits were very colorful and engaging and many businesses contributed to the free raffles all evening long. Most participating businesses were giving away small useful advertising gifts to appreciative visitors.

We extend special thanks to the Newington Costco for finger food and soft drinks, to Pampered Chef for cream puffs, and to the Springfield Plaza Starbucks for coffee.
